Amber Houjicha – #466

One of our favourite teas. This special treat from Wazuka, Kyoto is a regular brew in the mujo House.

Houjicha in Japanese translates to “roasted tea” and our Amber Houjicha from the Wazuka region of Kyoto is one of our favourite after-dinner teas.

With a subtle hint of spice and smokiness and a wonderful amber coloured liquor, this special Houjicha lives up to its name.

Standard western-style brewing Instructions –
Brewing vessel: small teapot // Tea: 7 grams // Water: 300ml // Water Temperature: 90˚C // Possible infusions: 2-3 // Brewing Time: 60/30/80 seconds
(Please note that these are only basic guidelines. Many elements can affect the quality of your brew. We recommend finding a method that suits your own personal taste.)
